Emanuel Ciantar was born in 1975 in Rabat, Malta. From when he was a little boy, he had one dream: to own a farm, work the land, and create a space in Malta where people could share his love for agriculture and connect with nature. He even named it himself — Eman Deer Farm — as the farm was always an extension of who he was.
He built and designed the farm from scratch, turning a childhood dream into reality, working day and night on the land to bring his idea to life. While Emanuel worked the land, his wife Joanne held everything else together, raising their daughters and making her own sacrifices by his side. They did not just build a farm. They built a life together, and gave everything they had to make it what it is today.
At home, Emanuel was the kind of person who lit up every room. Warm, generous, and loving, always with a story that made you smile. His family and the farm were the two greatest loves of his life. From a little boy drawing deer in his bedroom to a father driving his own machinery and tending his livestock, he made his childhood dream a reality, and we are honoured to carry his dream forward and share it with you.
In 2025, Emanuel sadly passed away in what he always called his happy place. His wife Joanne and their daughters Hailey and Enya Ciantar carry his legacy forward today. They lead it the way he taught them: with discipline, devotion and love. Everything you see here, every animal, every olive tree, every product, is the living continuation of his vision.
